Senior entomologist and leader of interdisciplinary studies aimed at exploring the environmental and socio-cultural role of livestock production systems, including the relationship between livestock and biodiversity (plant-animal relationships) at different temporal and spatial scales. Research topics: arthropod biodiversity- livestock production and environmental impact – landscape dynamics – rural development.

Senior Agronomist with expertise in different topics involved in plant production, specifically those related to horticultural production, soils, substrates, “Faba Asturiana” (local bean variety) and the cultivation of blueberries and other berries, including the evaluation of the agronomic potential of both traditional and improved plant varieties. He has actively shared and transferred the knowledge on locally adapted agronomic strategies with different stakeholders, from individual farmers to cooperatives, companies, etc. linked to the agri-food sector. Research topics: horticulture production, berry production, agronomic improvement, profitability, knowledge transfer.

Professor in the Master of Biotechnology Applied to the Conservation and Sustainable Management of Plant Resources and in the Master of Food Biotechnology. Her research lines include the evaluation of different productive, adaptive and quality traits, selection, multiplication and conservation of plant materials, the potential of industrial by-products within a circular economy and the evaluation of bioactive compounds of industrial interest. She has participated in several projects which allowed recovering and registering different cultivars.
Research topics:plant selection, conservation and multiplication, evaluation of bioactive compounds and by-products, biotic and abiotic estres.
